A long-time friend of the Whitehaven family, Lee Randall has formally joined the team as Group Business Development Manager. His decades of experience as a competitive sailor, broker and owner’s representative make him an ideal person to propel Whitehaven through the next 10 years of its development.
Lee may be new to the role of Business Development Manager, yet he is not new to Whitehaven nor the luxury boating scene. Cutting his teeth in the industry as a sailor at both the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron and Southport Yacht Club (SYC), Lee has spent 20 years sailing the east coast of Australia and beyond. Concurrently, he developed a reputation as a quality broker of recreational boats and luxury motor yachts.
Then in 2013, he became the Queensland dealer for Whitehaven Motor Yachts, a position he held for four years. “Although I have now moved on from being a dealer, I stayed close to the family, as everyone who interacts with the brand usually does. When the opportunity came to work in-house and drive the growth, I did not have to think. Absolutely. There was nothing on the market in 2012 like the Whitehaven range and that stands true today,” reveals Lee.
Lee’s role will be to champion the expansion of the dealer network for Whitehaven as well as support owners starting their journey. You may also see him out on the water sailing as he continues as a member of SYC’s Handicap Committee.
