Ecstatic owners and friends celebrated the launch of “Koa Moana”, the exquisite Whitehaven 6000 Flybridge at a tropical-themed cocktail party on sublime floating pontoon known as “The Pearl” at the Royal Motor Yacht Club, Pittwater.
Meaning “Ocean Warrior” in Hawaiian, Koa Moana is the latest custom-crafted vessel in the Whitehaven fleet and the product of her owners’ collaboration with Whitehaven designer, Misha Merzliakov.
The event was styled with a profusion of tropical flowers and even a signature cocktail called the “Koa Colada”. A musical duo of guitarist and percussion provided the entertainment, and a professional photographer captured the joy of the occasion, including family portraits of the owners with their three children on board their new vessel.
The 60 guests comprised friends and family of the owners and the extended Whitehaven family, who all enjoyed a balmy evening on the water.
Koa Moana took pride of place at the pontoon and guests were eager to inspect the superb interior styling which makes the vessel one-of-a-kind in every way.
Bruce Scott welcomed the new owners to the Whitehaven family, emphasising the bonds of friendship and love of boating that unite all Whitehaven owners.
He presented them with a hand-crafted sterling silver Whitehaven ornament which is embellished with the signature Whitehaven waves and the co-ordinates of Whitehaven Beach, “so you can always find your way to the iconic beach which is the brand’s namesake”.
The owners thanked Bruce and the Whitehaven team for crafting their dream vessel and praised the Whitehaven team for their exceptional efforts from the impeccable engineering to every last detail of the craftsmanship and styling.
Koa Moana features a unique layout that reflects the family’s boating requirements. Instead of the island bench in the kitchen, they opted for a hopper window and wet bar and that leads out to the cockpit for seamless entertaining. This custom design feature keeps the galley open and free-flowing without comprising on bench space.
Like each Whitehaven, customisation is reflected throughout the hand-crafted vessel, a process that inspired and thrilled the owners.
Another feature which appealed to the couple, and is unique to the Whitehaven 6000 flybridge, which is not found in competitors in this class, is a fully enclosed tender garage.
Whitehaven is looking forward to making memories with our newest members of the Whitehaven family and spending time with them at our events and out on the water.
A hearty congratulations to Nick Ward who represents our Sydney based dealer, AW Marine Sales, who sold the vessel to her new owners.
