There are a number of mobile applications (or apps) now available to make the boating experience safer, easier and more enjoyable. One of the newest apps on the scene, Deckee comes with some big star power. Both Jessica Watson and Nic ‘The Sailor Girl’ Douglass are Brand Ambassadors of this app. The multifunction app can give you weather reports, indicate vessels in the area, display points of interest and marine facilities, and even, in certain states, issue safety warnings and alerts from maritime authorities. There is a useful blog full of tips for the boat owner and even fishing reports. Through their Flotespace product, you can even list your boat for charter or find one to rent.
